Food: Sang Kee Restaurant.

It is not easy to find this place for those golks who really wamy yo try some traditional food. It seems that this shop is about to close down because no one wants to carry on their business. I would say that this shop is not what ordinary teenager will like. The food here is really like the restaurant style. The menu has included noodles, pork,, prawn and fish. If you are thinking of trying something out, I would suggest noodles for most people to try. I would say this restaurant has been here during the 60's, and it is very old fashion decor. Judging by iys look, you will knoq that this place is not your average dining place. For me, it is all about the food and its taste.

When you are about to dine in this place, you will notice that the kitchen is open air. The environment here is quite decent, not a bad place to dine/ If it is a hot day, you will still feel the air is circulate. So, it is not a big deal to come over for food. Parking in city area is a big problems. There are two parking lot. One is facing at the back of Ocean Superstore, another one will be close to the Jalan Sultan. It is no wonder this place is only for those people who can find parking or just come here with a bus ride. This place is secluded. You need to stop at the bus stop near the church, then, follow the car park opposite the bus stop, you will see a restaurant.

I think people will wonder why is this shop open here? In fact, if you look closely, this place is not your ordinary restaurant. Let;s talk about some history about this restaurant. It seem that this place is a popular hang out place for dating couple. It has a cinema called Rex, which is gone after 15 years ago. Those days, people will eat street food near the Petaling street. It has some kind of good memory for those who come here for lunch  and dinner.

Sang Har Mee is one of the tasty treat. It is really simple to make. You need to deep fried the noodles for about 15 seconds, then drain it. The main part would be the prawn. It must be fresh to complete the whole dish. The sauce is make up of corn starch, chicken stock powder and eggs. The taste it is really balance, not to salty, and has the freshness taste come from the prawn.

This Cantonese Style Fried Mee Hon. It is done exactly the same way as the Sang Har Mee does. But, the only difference is the meat that put it into the noodles. The pork slice, prawns, sotong and choy sum.

Deep Fried Prawns with Salt and Pepper is one the Chinese food that blend in Western style. The deep fried prawns taste very fresh. I haven't come across a restaurant that offer fresh prawn these days. Anyway, the prawn is really taste good. However, after 15 minutes past, the batter start to go soggy. I won't say it is a failure, but it is just fine.

In this Wat Dan Hor, you will be eating some of the things you don't use to eat in your diet: pig's intestine. I like intestine, but must be clean. So far, this restaurant has done the right way.

According to the owner, this shop will gone soon because there is no one is interested to continue the business. For the younger generation, this shop will be gone forever. So, it is best to have some classic dishes like Sang Har Mee, Lo Siew Ping and Cantonese-style noodles. For me, it just a good place to dine.
